The trainer


Marylou Booth presently lives in Wetheral just outside Carlisle and has lived and worked in this area for 20 years. Her past history includes:

  • Six years in customer service
  • Seven years as a manager and trainer responsible for the recruitment, selection, organization and motivation of a management team, 22 staff and a £2.4 million budget. During this period she led her department through Investors in People, designed a department induction programme and set up and delivered a comprehensive training programme
  • Eleven years as a freelance trainer
  • A management diploma
  • Coaching skills certificate
  • A recent business degree specialising in how people learn
  • Fourteen years experience in delivering programs to both front line staff and managers
  • Skilled at delivering short seminars, one day workshops, five day supervisory programmes and fifteen month management certificates
  • Comfortable with delivering courses at all levels
  • Guest speaker at a number of events including Sellafield Business Excellence Day and the Association of Project Managers Conference
